Relaxation Zone, Villa in Zakopane

Relaxation zone in a villa in Zakopane

The relaxation zone in this Zakopane villa was designed as a moody, private space for rest. The interior was kept in a darker, more subdued colour palette dominated by natural wood, stone, graphite and deep shades of grey.

Light plays a major role here - gentle backlighting, light hidden in cabinetry and decorative fixtures create an intimate atmosphere in the evening. The whole has the character of a luxurious, mountain home spa.

Sauna and bathroom

The sauna was combined with the bathroom and relaxation zone into a coherent material composition. Wood was paired with strongly textured stone, and minimalist fittings and simple cabinetry keep the interior's calm character intact.

Wine cellar

An integral part of the relaxation zone is also a wine cellar. Warm wood, stone surfaces and stairs leading to the lower level create a space with a more club-like, evening character.

Interior design project for a relaxation zone in Zakopane

This is an interior designed around the idea of rest - darker, moodier and more enveloping. Natural materials, soft light and mountain styling create a place that lets you disconnect from everyday life.
