Living Area, House in Kościelisko 2

Interior design project for a house in Kościelisko with a view of the Tatras

The living area of this house in Kościelisko was designed around two key elements - the timber architecture of the interior and the view of the Tatra mountains. The living room, dining area and kitchen form an open space beneath a tall ceiling, giving the interior a large scale while keeping a cosy character.

Natural materials dominate: engineered oak flooring, wood, stone and black details. Large glazing lets the mountain landscape become part of the arrangement.

Living room with a view of the Tatras

The living room was positioned so that the view through the large glazing remains one of the interior's most important elements. Warm wood underlines the mountain character of the house, while the concrete-clad fireplace introduces a more contemporary, raw accent.

The stairs leading upstairs were designed as a light structure that doesn't compete with the view or the room's tall architecture.

Black kitchen with a marble worktop

The kitchen received dark, graphite-toned cabinetry offset by a light marble worktop. The bar section of the island opens the kitchen towards the dining area and living room.

The dining area features a large wooden table and a decorative lamp, while glass-and-wine cabinetry underlines the representative character of this part of the house.

Interior design project for a house in the Podhale region

This is a contemporary interior design project for a house in Kościelisko, where natural materials and simple forms were subordinated to the building's architecture and the view of the Tatras.
