Holiday Cottage with a Tatra Mountains View

Holiday cottage with a view of the Tatra Mountains

This holiday cottage was designed around one of its greatest assets - a panoramic view of the Tatra Mountains. Large glazing opens the living room onto the mountain landscape, making the view the interior's most important decorative element.

Natural wood, stone, soft fabrics and warm light create the cosy mood of a contemporary mountain cottage. The interior uses elements of alpine style while staying light and functional.

Living room open to the Tatras

The living room was designed as the central space of the house. A stone accent with a fireplace creates a bolder focal point, while soft furnishings and wooden elements warm up the whole composition.

The spiral staircase leading to the attic is not just a circulation solution but also a distinctive design element.

Attic bedrooms with a mountain view

The bedrooms were placed beneath timber roof slopes. Roof windows and glazing let the mountain view be enjoyed from the attic level too.

Wooden elements and side tables made from natural tree trunks underline the house's more relaxed, holiday character.

Bathrooms with quartz sinter

The bathrooms were finished with stone-patterned quartz sinter, paired with wood and natural light coming through the roof windows.

Interior design project for a cottage with a view of the Tatras

This is an interior design project for a holiday property where everything was subordinated to the relationship with the landscape. Natural materials and a calm colour palette form a backdrop for the panorama of the Tatras.
