HOUSE in Nowy Targ, Night Zone

Bedroom with a panoramic view of the Tatras

The night zone of this house in Nowy Targ was designed around the architecture of the attic - timber roof slopes, exposed structure and large glazing. The bedroom's greatest asset is a panoramic view of the Tatra mountains, which becomes an integral part of the interior.

The bed is placed beneath the steep roof slope, and the timber ceiling and joinery are finished in a light, natural tone.

Wood and stone in the night zone

Natural materials are used throughout the night zone. Wood appears on the roof slopes, in the joinery and in fixtures, while stone and quartz sinter were used in the bathrooms.

The character of the interior is built through proportion, roof construction, natural materials and light - resulting in a calm, contemporary space that works with the character of the attic rather than competing with it.

Bathroom with a bathtub beneath a tall window

One of the project's most distinctive elements is a bathtub placed beneath a tall, triangular window in the roof's gable. The unusual geometry of the attic is used here as an asset - the bathtub, natural light and timber structure create a striking bathing space.

Interior design project for a house in Nowy Targ

The night zone is part of a larger interior design project for a single-family house in Nowy Targ. Natural wood, stone, light and a panoramic view of the Tatras create an interior with a calm, timeless character. See also the daytime zone of the same house.
